Allison links with VanDyne on driveline project

USA - VanDyne SuperTurbo Inc of Loveland, Colorado and Allison Transmission Inc of Indianapolis, Indiana are collaborating on co-development of a vehicle demonstrator, which aims to leverage the unique performance benefits of VanDyne's mechanically driven turbocharger in combination with Allison's TC10 transmission in a Class 8 tractor. Using advanced control techniques the companies seek to maximise the benefits of engine down speeding, efficient supercharging and turbo compounding.
