Bosch breaks ground for new fuel injection systems plant in Bidadi

Bangalore - Bosch Ltd of Bangalore, a wholly-owned subsidiary of German automotive engineering giant, Bosch Group, has announced that it has started building a new manufacturing base in Bidadi, near Bangalore. The new plant is to produce common rail diesel and petrol fuel injection components and systems, new engine technologies as well as 'many new products currently being developed, said Bosch. This initiative is due to expansion constraints at its existing manufacturing location in Adugodi, a suburb of Bangalore, as well as plans to modernise its production operations and to reduce production costs. The project will see its current manufacturing operation in Adugodi relocate to Bidadi, which is some 35km from Bangalore city, in two phases over a three to four year period leading up to 2016-2017.
