Strategy formulation for successful participation in the TPE industry requires recognition that the dynamics of the industry are changing, creating new opportunities and introducing new limiting factors. Regional economics in a globalized industry are driving product line offerings while at the same time the TPE property/materials footprint is expanding. Industry structure is shifting to meet the challenges of commod-itization, globalization, a maturing life cycle for many TPE applications and economic drivers that vary between regions. Automotive remains a major target market driving growth for some major TPE families.
