摘要

It was shown experimentally that the efficiency of converting electric energy into the energy of a compression wave is increased by gelatinizing the water. This effect takes place in unfavorable conditions for forming an electric explosion: high conductivity of the water, with an incomplete discharge, and considerable open surface of the electrodes. Improvement of the technological properties of water is connected with lowering its electric conductivity, decreasing the branching of the corona, and reducing predischarge losses.
