APAS Specification 0162 - Zinc Phosphate Metal Primer, currently provides for two separate product types. Type I is for Red Oxide, Grey, and a few other specific colours and Type II is for "Other Colours". In recent years the number of specific colours listed under Type I approvals has grown, and many basic colours have been approved under Type II.
