POPPY ORANGE IN THE EMERALD ISLE

Тhe Northern Ireland National Road Run was a magnificent sight, featuring more than 550 tractors. T&M joined the run courtesy of John Crossle, on his 4WD Super Dexta, as it followed a circular route, beginning and ending at Larne. Along the route, display of 'poppy-orange' Nuffields was noted behind a house at Ballygalley, not far from Larne. After seeing the Super Dexta back to the finish, I retraced the route to find the house. The imposing collection was soon located and the owners, Stephen Robinson and his father, Wilbert, were more than pleased to relate the history and manoeuvre the tractors about for photographs. The display of tractors attracted others who had attended the road run, and soon the Robinson's yard was full of enthusiasts and admirers.
