The unpredictable early June weather over Ross Southey's Sussex farm gave cause for concern, a mixture of sunshine and showers. The old adage: 'Make hay while the sun shines' was certainly appropriate and he needed no persuasion to take advantage of a spell of fine weather to mow the grassland in preparation for aeration of the forage. Bernard Holloway discovers Ford power makes it happen. When we met, the skies were an unbroken blue and the hay was drying nicely, proving an ideal opportunity for Ross to use his new, six-rotor Krone tedder for the very first time. So new, he had not even had time to properly locate the control box, hence its temporary position on the rear of the Super Q cab fitted to his Ford 7810 that was powering it.
