2,Kumba Takes Full Control of Ticor

In March 2004,Kumba notified the Ticor Ltd.Board that it intended to seek a number of changes in the management of the Australian company.Mr Dick Carter resigned as Chairman,being replaced by Dr Wyn Davies.Mr Peter Bradfield also resigned.Soon after that,Mr Peter Robinson (who had joined Ticor from Iluka four years previously) took over from Mr Rodney Ruston as Managing Director of Ticor Ltd.,while Mr Bryan Ellis was appointed as Corporate Advisor,Marketing.
