At Tender Held By Posco For Mn Ferro-Alloys, Low Carbon Si-Mn Was Awarded To S.Korean Producer

While prices of manganese ferro-alloys have risen steeply in the international market, Posco of South Korea held on the 25th of June a tender to purchase sizable quantities of manganese ferro-alloys ( prices to be bidden by South Korean producers are in principle to be on the basis of DDP = Delivered and Duty Paid ) and it is marked to know the results of this tender ( part of the results was already reported ). It is now informed that Dongil Industries, a South Korean producer of manganese ferro-alloys, has been awarded by Posco as the successful bidder for all 10,500 tons of low carbon silico-manganese ( to be delivered to Pohang Works ) at 1,049 US dollars per ton on DDP basis, corresponding to 1,007 US dollars per ton on DDU basis ( Delivered but Duty Unpaid ).
