Report on the Yokohama ICH MeetingDawn Ronan reports on the latest meeting of the International Conference on Harmonisation steering committee.

The ICH steering committee and its expert working groups met in Yokohama, Japan, on 6-11 June 2009. The meeting was followed on 12 June by an ICH regional public meeting, which was held in Tokyo. The public meeting, entitled ICH Japan Symposium 2009, was well attended, with approximately 600 registrants from 18 countries, and provided an opportunity to update the public on the progress made during the ICH meeting in Yokohama and on the status of the various ICH guidelines under development. The programme also included a special session on the implementation of ICH guidelines in Asian countries, with several members of the ICH Global Cooperation Group (GCG) presenting on the use of ICH guidelines and on the value of training in helping to facilitate implementation.
