Maxwell to Einstein A Liberal-Arts Physics Course

The December 1997 issue of The Physics Teacher contained an article describing a liberal-arts physics course entitled Galileo to Newton.1 This course has been successfully offered for a number of years at the College of Staten Island, and interest in it has been substantial as evidenced by requests for reprints of the 7Trarticle and requests for copies of the course lab manual. A follow-on course was designed called Maxwell to Einstein and Beyond. We offered this course for the first time in the fall 2003 semester.
