Several years ago I attended an AAPT Haunted PhysicsWorkshop taught by Dr. Tom Zepf from CreightonUniversity. Dr. Zepf's highly successful HauntedPhysics Lab' at Creighton was put on every October by hisphysics majors. I found the concept of exhibiting physicsprojects in a "fun" way to students, faculty, and the publicvery exciting, so an idea brewed in my head to use this at ouruniversity. When our dean asked me to design an introduc-tory physics course for non-science majors, I decided it wasthe right time to put the haunted lab idea to use. The ensuingcourse, entitled "Phascination in Physics," was designed as ahalf-semester 4.0-credit physics lecture/lab course for non-science majors.
