Procter & Gamble Co. is launching a full investigation into allegations raised in a new report by Greenpeace International that claims the Cincinnati-based firm sources its palm oil from suppliers that contribute to deforestation in Indonesia. The report, released by the non-governmental organization Feb. 28 after a year-long investigation, found that land used for palm oil cultivation in P&G's supply chain correlates to deforestation by suppliers or third parties that are leading to deaths of orangutans and tigers.
