Iattended the Gordon Hall School of Pharmacy in 1942 where I was taught by Elsie Hooper.Once I obtained my apothecary certificate,Miss Hooper encouraged me to become a pharmacist and I was apprenticed with her at 12a Belsize Terrace,Belsize Park,London,in August 1942.Miss Hooper also owned the Flask Pharmacy in Hampstead.She was married to Mr Higgin and they lived at 43 Belsize Avenue.He was at home as a semi-invalid when I knew them and he did some of the shops' paperwork.
