This cartoon,entitled "Le Roy Le Veult",is taken from The Pharmaceutical Journal of 1 July 1933.It shows Pharmaceutical Society ex-presidents E.T.Nethercoat (1920-24),A.R.Melhuish (1930-32) and F.G.Hines (1932-33) delivering the new Pharmacy and Poisons Act 1933 to "The British Pharmacy".The Act,which gave the Society the responsibility for regulating pharmacists and made membership compulsory,had just received Royal Assent ("Le Roy Le Veult") after a number of setbacks in its progress.
