Continuous increases in energy costs and the need for improved thermal efficiency and carbon reduction has seen an increase in demand for accurate and meaningful thermal conductivity measurements for refractory products. However, where given, the origin of values quoted on technical data sheets (TDS) is often not stipulated, making it difficult for end users to reliably and effectively compare data from one supplier to another.
