Wire Netting Products to Tread Thorny Path for Government Supply

Although there are rising voices that supply of such wire netting products as stone baskets and gabions for the construction of river banks should be made by the government, it seems difficult to expect any change in the current supply system for the tonnage of the products to be ordered this year. The Korea Wire Netting Industry Cooperative (KWNC) submitted a letter to the Busan Regional Construction Management Office (BCMO) in October 2004, requesting that the government should supply stone baskets to the major government-ordered construction works of the national roads and river banks.
