Dongkuk Steel Group Gets Pre-qualified for Bid to Buy Pan Ocean Shipping

Dongkuk Steel Group has been pre-qualified for the bid for a possible takeover of Pan Ocean Shipping Co. and is scheduled to participate in the survey on the data room of Pan Ocean Shipping from July 19. Out of 15 firms, 8 companies including Dongkuk Steel Group have been pre-qualified by the stockholders of Pan Ocean Shipping including the Korea Development Bank (KDB). Those which have become pre-qualified for the bid included Dongkuk Steel Group, Kumho Asiana Group, E1 Consortium and STX Group among non-shipping firms and The Korea Express and SINKO among domestic shipping companies. Zodiak of Israel and NYK of Japan were included as foreign shipping companies in the list for the pre-qaulified.
