Union Steel made its final decision to relocate its Kiheung Plant to the Busan Plant after its lengthy study on a new site for the plant.

Even though many places in the Multifunctional Administrative City particularly in the area near the Suwon Plant of Samsung Electronics were raised for the consideration of a new plant site in connection with relocation of its Kiheung Plant, but the company has finally decided to relocate the facilities to its Busan Plant without finding other places suitable to meet all the requirements of a new mill site.
