摘要

In nearly all areas of biotechnology, including those of drug discovery, cell signalling and antibody optimisation, a detailed understanding of the nature and characteristics of biomolecular interactions is essential. Surface plasmon resonance is a non-invasive technique requiring no molecular labelling that can provide precise and quantitative measurement of binding reactions. Using as example a tyrosine kinase binding to substrates, this article illustrates the power of the technique.
