摘要

We read with interest the article entitled "Navigation-Assisted Minimal Invasive Total Knee Arthroplasty in Patients With Extra-Articular Femoral Deformity" by Kim et al [1].The authors shown the clinical and radiographic results of 4 cases of extra-articular femoral deformity treated with total knee arthroplasty (TKA) using minimally invasive surgery (MIS) and computer-assisted navigation. They refer that MIS offers potential advantages like decreased pain, faster recovery, and improved function but also noted that improper component orientation and limb alignment as a result of inadequate surgical exposure have been reported with this technique. The authors recommended the association of MIS and navigation in these difficult cases.
