摘要

Five different monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) against Echinococcus multilocularis were tested for their cross-reactivities with somatic antigen extracts and coproantigens of Taenia hydatigena, E. granulosus and E. multilocularis in a sandwich ELISA. Three of the MAbs (EmA8, EmA9 and EmA11) reacted strongly with E. multilocularis antigens and were used in an immunohistochemical study to observe changes in antigen distribution during development of T. hydatigena and E. multilocularis. Sandwich ELISA and dot-ELISA techniques using MAb EmA9 were developed for the detection of E. multilocularis coproantigens. A simple diagnostic method based on a dot-ELISA was developed for field use. This is the summary of a thesis presented to the School of VeterinaryMedicine of Hokkaido University, Japan.
