Supplementary Feeding Value of Wheat Bran in Goats Fed Napier Bajra Hybrid Green Fodder

A feeding trial was conducted with six male goats to evaluate the effect of supplementation of 100 g wheat bran per day to ad lib Napier Bajra (Co 3) green fodder fed goats on nutrient utilization and nutritive value of the diet. The dry matter intakewas 471.36 g per day, which amounted to 3.24 kg as % BW and 63.3 g per kg metabolic body weight. The nutritive value of wheat bran - NB green fodder diet was 7.06% DCP and 60.71% TDN. The results of the study revealed that supplementation of 100g wheatbran, could maintain adult male goats that are on ad lib NB green fodder feeding.
