Once upon a time in a far-fetched land there was a city so fabulous that there were many happenings, episodes and characters that created a uniqueness unlike any other place in the United States of America. Probably because it was a port city from itsinception, the diverse population has caused it to be an unusual cosmopolitan metropolis that attracts visitors from far and near. No question, the foremost reason people like to come to La Nouvelle Orleans is the music and cuisine indigenous to this city. But there is a multitude of other reasons, i.e., history, scenery, climate, museums, festivals, parades, etc. Then there are the congenial people of all races known for their hospitality, manners and joie de vivre.
