A new, variable-speed, 3-in. die grinder that offers 27 in.-lbs. of torque is available from Metabo. The grinder was designed to grind internal surfaces in polishing and finishing applications. The GE900 Plus runs at a lower RPM range than similar grinders, reports the company, which increases the number and type of usable accessories for sanding, polishing, or buffing, such as flap wheels and nonwoven abrasive finishing wheels. The grinder features a side handle and a spindle lock-one wrench feature that enables users to change accessories using one wrench. The switch is located on the top of the tool, making it usable with either the right or left hand.
