Ventricular ectopic beats: An overview of management considerations (American Journal of the Medical Sciences)

We echo the sentiments of Negn and Lo Casio, and Drummond and urge the scientific community to be more precise and less ambiguous in its representation of pH and partial pressure. The use of a lowercase p for partial pressure renders the abbreviation almost meaningless and ignores the historical derivation of the abbreviations as well as the attempt at standardization made 60 years ago by leading pulmonary physiologists. We wish to promote carefulness and exactitude in the transmission of data and faithfulness to the historical origins.
