South Africa is often perceived as one of the utopias of the world. It is a popular holiday destination attracting tourists from across the globe, especially from developed countries such as the USA, the UK and the remainder of Europe. There are two main reasons for tourists opting to spend their cash in a country like South Africa. Firstly, they will earn many South African Rands (ZAR) in exchange for their valuable dollars, pounds and euros, making South Africa an affordable and often a very cheap holiday destination. Secondly, South Africa, as arguably the most prosper-ous country in Africa, offers a proper Africa experience with all of its wild life sanctuaries, nature reserves and many more tourist attractions, while also offering luxury to accompany these attractions that most other African countries can only dream about offering their tourists. South Africa is, however, still a developing country with many of the problems accompanying it such as a high unemployment rate, poverty amongst the majority of its inhabitants, a struggling primary and secondary education system, a politically turbulent climate and last but not least, a high crime rate. Countries with a high crime rate are often the target of cybercrimes due to the fact that most of its citizens do not have access to a proper education system, not to even mention education about cyber security. The net result is that South Africans are often soft targets for cyber criminals.
