U.S. Condensate Calculated Cheaper by US$1/bbl than Middle Eastern Origin

Japanese refiners are not showing good interest in U.S. condensate because it is not so economical as expected compared to the condensate of Middle Eastern origin. A well-informed source with a refiner said, “When we received an offer of U.S. condensate, we found it not so low in price on an arrival basis as we had expected. It was just a dollar or so lower than that coming from Middle East.”
