Essen, Germany - For the FSK, Germany's association for foamed plastics and polyurethane, 2012 was not just the 75th anniversary of the discovery of polyurethanes by Prof Otto Bayer, but also the fiftieth anniversary of its formation. At the association's annual conference, held 21-22 Nov at the headquarters of polyurethane additives supplier Evonik Industries in Essen, Germany, the conference papers were combined into a commemorative volume covering the history both of the PU sector in Germany, and of the association.
