Ludwigshafen,Germany-BASF may build a new MDI (methylene diphenyl diisocyanate) plant in Chongqing municipality,in western China,to meet growing demand for the product.A memorandum of cooperation was signed on the prospective plant 12 June 2007 between BASF,Chongqing Chemical and Pharmaceutical Holding (Group) Co.and the local authorities,announced BASF.
