Penile cancer is a relatively uncommon disease in the majority of developed countries, but represents a significant health and social problem in regions of Asia, Africa and South America. There are many controversies as to the management of squamous cell carcinoma, the most frequent histopathological form of penile cancer, including its prevention, staging, treatment options and health policy.
