CUK, CRB prices move up; new hikes await URB, SBS

Prices moved higher this month for coated unbleached kraft (CUK) and coated recycled paperboard (CRB) while producers of uncoated recycled paperboard (URB) and solid bleached sulfate (SBS) await an October price increase attempt (P&PW, Sept. 10, p. 5). The series of price increases, especially multiple hikes this year for SBS and CRB, are squeezing folding carton converters who are falling behind in passing on their own increases.
