G-P buys Brewton mill from SSCC

Smurfit-Stone Container reached a definitive agreement to sell its Brewton,AL,white top linerboard and bleached board mill to Georgia-Pacific(G-P)for about 355 million,the companies said.The deal,which was widely rumored in the industry,is scheduled for completion by the end of September.
