Protected cultivation has several advantages such as improving early and total yield; improving fruit quality in terms of colour, taste and external appearance; minimizing the use of pesticides; judicious use of farm inputs; increasing availability span of vegetables; and protecting the crop from inclement weather to produce blemish free fruits.
