摘要

Cereal grain infestation by confused flour beetle (Tribolium confusum) was studied by SDS-PAGE electrophoresis. Different number of protein bands and patterns were obtained after the electrophoresis of proteins extracted from imagines and larvae. The comparison of densitograms of extracted proteins from imagines of confused flour beetle and from studied cereal grains indicated that SDS-PAGE electrophoresis was not suitable for the detection of cereal grain infestation by imagines of confused flour beetle. However, the method was useful for the detection of infestation by larvae due to the presence of distinct protein bands..
