On October 31, 2000, IPMI hosted a seminar at the New York Mercantile Exchange in New York City on the financial aspects of the precious metals markets, the first of its kind in many years. Registration to attend the seminar was complimentary and approximately 75 people attended. Four speakers made presentations on issues related to financial exposure to precious metals. Particular attention was paid to security and legal issues during the refining and manufacturing processes.
