The stagnation in the rig count growth rate is more or less affecting the small diameter line pipe sector which is pretty much exactly what you would expect. However, a surge in small diameter import tons makes it look like demand is 20% higher than it was for the monthly average, year to date. You only get one guess where the bulk of that surge came from. Year-to-date through May, Korean line pipe imports averaged just over 77,000 tons.
