Advances in Polymer Science is a series of critical reviews covering the current and future trends in polymer science. This volume contains three reviews and an author index for volumes 101-155 of the series. The first review, "Cyanate Ester Resins, Recent Developments", was written by C.P.Reghunadhan Nair, D. Mathew, and K.N.Ninan. This review begins by introducing the use of various polymeric systems for advanced composites, one of these being cyanate ester resins. Cyanate ester resins are thermosets that overcome some of the problems encountered using epoxy resins, polyimides, and phenolic resins. The synthesis and reactions of cyanate esters are briefly described and the relationship between polymeric structures and properties are detailed.
