Dutch company De Erven Warnink BV has contracts with three farms with a total of 300,000 layers whose eggs go towards the production of 10 million bottles of advocaat a year. A million eggs a week from three specialist contract layer farms, are used in the production of advocaat by De Erven Warnink BV, sited at Middleharnis, on the island of Overflakkee, south of Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Advocaat is a golden-yellow egg liquor containing at least 14% alcohol, which is not only consumed by almost every Dutch person, but is also exported to-more than 45 countries. There are some 40 Different varieties of advocaat.
