ETPs: Mixed first quarter price picture

ABS prices ended the first quarter on a strong rising trend following the downward price pressure during the preceding two months. A sharp fall in' January's sty-rene monomer cost led to a reduction of ?130-140/tonne in ABS prices, which was less than the ?210/tonne reduction in the cost base. It was a similar story in February with prices falling by less than the reduction in costs.
