US Chemical Safety Board urges changes at Formosa's Point Comfort

Houston-The US Chemical Safety Board said July 20 it was urging Formosa Plastics Corporation USA to implement changes at its Point Comfort,Texas olefins plant that would include installation of a remote controlled system to curtail chemical releases.In a press conference called to deliver its report on a fire and explosion at the plant last October,the CSB also said it had recommendations for engineering firm Kellogg,Brown and Root regarding its design of the Formosa facility.
