The CFR FE Asia benchmark slipped $10/mt on the week as key Chinese buyers stepped back and chose to adopt a wait-and-see stance. In India, buying appetite was noticeably stronger, as the spot market in the region is grappling with a supply shortage. An Indian processor, Tilak Polypack, reported securing an H2-May general purpose cargo at $1,500/mt CFR India. Company sources from Southeast Asian producers, Petlin and The Polyolefins Company, said they received numerous inquiries late last week from Indian buyers, but no deals were reported transacted as of press time.
