Lawyers for ExxonMobil and the state of Alabama have agreed on a nationally recognized negotiator to try to resolve the long-running dispute over royalty payments for gas produced in Mobile Bay.The two sides agreed to sit down before prominent mediator Eric Green to attempt to settle the dispute after a series of state court decisions determined by Irving,Texas-based producer owed the state US3.5-bil for gas royalty under-payments.
