Rusal to raise corundum yield at Boksitogorsk alumina refinery

Rusal is spending $2 million inrevamping the Boksitogorsk alumina refineryin Russia to increse the production capacityof corundum.The expansion project will lift the plant’scorundum production volume to to 73,000mt/year, an increase of 10,000 mt/year, andis slated for completion in 2017. Rusal plansto export the new output to Europe, Japan,the US, Russia and the CIS.
