A comparative study of backhand strokes in tennis among national tennis players in Malaysia

The study examines and compares the effectiveness of single and double handed backhand strokes in terms of accuracy and percentage of success, and also to determine whether there is an association between their agility level and the of choice of strokes used. Samples were tested for agility and a two-item skill test for accuracy and percentage of success. Results show that double handed backhand have better accuracy and percentage of success but the difference was not significant. It was found that agility did not have any influence on the choice of backhand strokes.
