The BQM-167 Skeeter is a sub-scale target drone being acquired by the US Air Force for its AFSAT (Air Force Subscale Target) requirement. In August 2002, the Air Force awarded a development contract for the drone to Composite Engineering to produce six Skeeters in 15 months with a production contract eventually totaling $200 million for seven -years of manufacture. The Air Force funded 423 Skeeters in FY04-FY18.
