Rafael Skylite—This tube launched UAV was first called Skylark by Rafael when first displayed in 2003 at the Paris Air Show, but later renamed as Skylite to avoid confusion with its Elbit competitor. It can be carried and launched from the ground, but it is also being offered as an air-launched UAV mounted on helicopter missile racks. Once launched out of the tube, the UAV wings fold into position and the Skylark is powered by a conventional electric pusher prop. The usual tactical organization would be a two man team each carrying one UAV and launcher and a mission control unit. At Paris-05, Rafael displayed a reconfigured version with the new launch tube has a square rather than round cross-section like the one displayed in 2003. Skylite is a relatively heavy UAV for the mini-UAV category, coming in at 6 kg. Skylite B is also offered in a more conventional version using a catapult. It was used in small numbers in the 2006 Lebanon war.
