Overview of the Draft Fourth Amendment to China's Patent Law

On April 1, 2015, China's State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) released a new draft of the fourth amendment of the Patent Law ("the draft amendment") for public comment. Compared with the previous draft which was sent to the State Council for review in January 2013, the new draft amendment provides additional changes aiming to enhance patent enforcement, exploitation, and to promote competition.
