In 2009, Graham Allen purchased one of the many waterfront cottages of Lake Muskoka, Ontario, and along with the property he struck a deal to purchase NOLA MAE, a 1948 Shepherd 22' Utility that had resided in the cottage's boathouse for many years. She was the pride and joy of the previous owners, who had paid careful attention to her, even taking awards at the local Gravenhurst Boat Show sponsored by the Antique & Classic Boat Society.
