Stephen Coles has dedicated a decade of his life to finding out why supercente-narians-people age 110 and older-live so darn long. In fact, it's his full-time job as director of both the Gerontology Research Group and the Supercentenar-ian Research Foundation. Sadly, he's got only a small sample to work from: There are only 70 known supercentenarians alive at the moment. "I visit them, interview them, and autopsy them when they die to try to find out if there was a common cause of death."
